Why It Matters
The right to vote is a fundamental principle of our democracy. When more Americans can participate in our elections, the outcome better reflects who we are as a country. We work year-round at the state and local level to enact voting reforms that best increase turnout and help new communities participate in the process, making our elections more free, fair and accessible.
Since its inception, the League of Women Voters and its chapters have remained nonpartisan, never endorsing or opposing particular political parties or candidates. This promotes inclusion for greater citizen involvement, and has allowed the League to develop a strong, trusted voice for its advocacy and education campaigns. The League of Women Voters is dedicated to providing unbiased and fair information about candidates and ballot issues. For more voting information visit our website

The League of Women Voters of Jacksonville First Coast welcomes the opportunity to help more Florida voters become registered to vote. We have a team of trained volunteers who are certified to conduct voter registration. If you are interested in having us conduct a voter registration drive, please contact us when you are planning your event. The sooner we know about your event the more likely it is that we can organize volunteers to be there. Email us at
