November Lunch with the League
Please join us on Wednesday November 13th for the First Wednesday Lunch with the League (note the shift forward one week due to the election). Our guest speaker will be Dr. David Jaffee, Sociology Professor at the University of North Florida.
Dr. Jaffee will talk about his work as director of the JAX Rental Housing Project, a UNF community-based research project aimed at collecting and analyzing data on the state of the rental housing market and the conditions for renters in Jacksonville/Duval County. The project also studies and advocates for housing policies that have been successfully implemented in other communities to address this critical issue.

In 2010-2011 he spent the academic year in Hong Kong on a Fulbright Scholarship at the City University of Hong Kong. Jaffee has a Bachelors (University of Florida) and Masters (Washington University-St Louis) degree in Political Science, and a PhD in Sociology (University of Massachusetts – Amherst).
